Halsey is updating fans after a recent health scare.
The 29-year-old first sparked concern when she shared a video of herself and fiancé Avon Jogia in the hospital.
“Happy Late Bi Visibility Day,” she captioned the Sept. 25 Instagram. “This year I’m celebrating by dying with a man by my side (for legal reasons that’s a joke).”
In the video, Halsey is lying in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm, holding up a peace sign and saying, “Happy Bi Visibility Day. We had a whole plan for you guys.”
The “Lucky” singer later gave more insight into her condition during a fan Q&A on X (formerly Twitter).
After one fan asked about the pop star’s health, she replied on Sept. 26, “I’m home from the hospital now after a few days, so a win is a win!”
Another fan asked if the hospitalization was related to a chronic health issue, and Halsey, who has been open in the past about her battle with endometriosis and other conditions, replied, “I had a seizure! Very scary! Don’t recommend it!”
Back in June, Halsey announced her upcoming album The Great Impersonator by sharing more of her health struggles.
“Long story short, I’m Lucky to be alive,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Short story long, I wrote an album,” tagging the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The “I’m Not Mad” singer has previously opened up about the impact of her health journey.
“I have lupus and sometimes with Lupus there’s other complications,” Halsey shared on the SheMD podcast Aug. 6. “I announced a couple years ago that I had Sjogren Syndrome which is really often comorbid—meaning going alongside of—Lupus. Because Lupus is an autoimmune condition, sometimes it can surpress your immune system to the point that you develop a T cell disorder.”
Of her condition, “I was getting sick very often. I was losing a lot of weight.”
As for the next chapter of her life, Halsey is hoping to turn the page on her struggles.
“It's been a huge personal year,” Halsey exclusively told E! News at the iHeart Radio Music Festival Sept. 22. “I'm turning 30 soon, and so it's a great way to start the decade.”
